crossfit

Tonight is going to be an exciting one because i'm going back to crossfit after taking a few weeks off (baby stuff) And its even better because chris is starting crossfit for the first time! I started looking into crossfit back in august, took an intro class and signed up for the on-ramp which is a month long beginners class to prepare you for regular crossfit classes so you learn all the movements and correct form. I fell in love and have been doing it ever since! I was never the kind of person who was good at staying motivated and fit i hated it so much to be honest but i've gone through pregnancy,a c-section, being a mom for the first time and carrying around all the left over weight it certainly doesn't help that i was overweight before i was pregnant also but honestly crossfit isn't like the hamster wheel at the gyms and zumba. What i love about it is that you are always with a trainer in a group and you can scale down the movement so that form doesn't suffer because really its not like your gonna walk in there and be able to do a pull up or even a handstand push up so there are scaled movements so that your still working to your full potential without hurting yourself. I have so much every WOD i really do and i never thought i'd fall in love with something like this and i swear in the beginning i was always visualizing the part in Fight club when edward Norton says "A guy who came to Fight Club for the first time, his ass was a wad of cookie dough. After a few weeks, he was carved out of wood." and i just visualize myself pushing myself past my limit and being all tough. Its a little bit of a dramatic reference haha! But i do go a little crazy in my head sometimes. I'm also a huuuge movie buff so that doesn't help!
